Artist's Description
Oct 29-2013 - Sold the first night of the Comox Valley Camera Clubs 2013 Showcase at the Pearl Ellis Gallery in Comox, BC.
1st Place - People's Choice Photo Show in Campbell River for summer 2013!
This is a photo of tall and bent grass, clouds and sky reflected on the surface of Echo Lake which is located on the Gold River Highway near Campbell River, BC on Vancouver Island, Canada. It has not been photoshopped or edited in any way. It is a shot taken at a downward angle of the lake surface and it shows the sky, the clouds and the grass shapes reflected back in to the water. Nothing was drawn in or added!
About Kathy Paynter
I was born and raised in Beautiful BC. I grew up in the North half of the province and still call Hudson Hope my home town. I bought my first camera (a Polaroid Instamatic) in the 70's - I can still smell the ink as it dried! I moved to the coast in 1984 and currently live in Campbell River on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. I've always been interested in taking pictures. In the last couple of years I've spent more of my time with my camera, experimenting with different shots. I have my camera with me all the time, you never know when you might see something fantastic. Photography is a hobby, I'm definitely a "rookie", untrained, but am learning as I go. I hop in the vehicle, and on the way out the driveway decide, should I turn...
