About Kathy Paynter

Kathy Paynter

I was born and raised in Beautiful BC. I grew up in the North half of the province and still call Hudson Hope my home town. I bought my first camera (a Polaroid Instamatic) in the 70's - I can still smell the ink as it dried! I moved to the coast in 1984 and currently live in Campbell River on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. I've always been interested in taking pictures. In the last couple of years I've spent more of my time with my camera, experimenting with different shots. I have my camera with me all the time, you never know when you might see something fantastic. Photography is a hobby, I'm definitely a "rookie", untrained, but am learning as I go. I hop in the vehicle, and on the way out the driveway decide, should I turn...
